Bank Greenwood & Skip Hill Art in the Heart of Black Wall Street

Bank Greenwood, a black owned digital bank based in Atlanta, GA has partnered with SKER Creative and mixed-media visual artist, muralist, and painter, Skip Hill to create a public art project in Tulsa’s historic Greenwood district entitled "History in the Making."

The mural was commissioned by Bank Greenwood in recognition of the 100 year commemoration of the Tulsa Race Massacre, and is dedicated to the black pioneers, inventors, educators, civil servants, and families that built the thriving community that noted scholar Booker T. Washington named “Black Wall Street.”

‘History in the Making’ is located on Greenwood Avenue, the district’s main thoroughfare, on the north wall of one of the few structures that survived the destruction of the community in 1921.
